Pretty positive I'm going to be heading to the dealership here shortly to sign my life away on a 2017 6.7 XLT. I'm new to diesels, not new to Fords tho.
Are there any things I should test or check over specifically before signing on the dotted line?
Any items dealers try to keep for themselves like boxlink, center caps on wheels, etc?
just physically inspect every inch of your truck before you sign!
The ask them to throw something in, like a bed liner,
I'm trying for all weather floor mats and remote start and they were just offering their cost on the mats. They outsource remote start to aftermarket. I'm still playing the back and forth game over text. Price is pretty well set and I'm fine with it if they will throw in a couple goodies.
Watch out for the VIN etch/track fee.
My local dealer is going to try and get $700 from me for this scam.
Check the switches and windows ect. Most new vehicles go back for little stuff, not major mechanical problems.
I just gave them my last and final offer which was $250 from where we stand and give me he mats at their cost ($35 less than sticker). We shall see soon.

Ford has upped their discount on diesel trucks to $3500. Plus about 10-13 thousand for employee pricing and costco for $1000. Thats about 14-17 thousand off mrsp just to make you aware.
