now i have a light
After weeks of frustration over a loss of performance and mpg I now have a "service engine soon" light. When I noticed the light come on it seems that the truck started running better.?? The trans. had begun to feel soft during shifts almost like slipping, but when the light came on it started shifting firm with no lag between gears. I'll have to pay my local mech. to find out what's wrong. I'm not wild about that, but at least I'll know something. Three days ago I had a cat back system put on. Do you suppose that has anything to do with it?? Is there a hand held device that reads the computer problem code for you? At $65 a pop, (thats what my mech. charges) it could pay for itself. Any ideas?? I'm hoping this won't co$t too much. Thanks, God Bless, huckster
