Year 2000 Ford Explorer 4.0 L with about 228,000 miles mostly highway driving.
No major repairs other than one exhaust manifold, radiator, heater core and water pump - all else original engine & AT.
Never had to add engine oil so far in-between the 3000 mile oil changes, and the engine purrs like new.
Oh, and FR wheelbearing and front swaybar bushings.

Have 208k on my '97 Explorer, original 5.0 still runs like a champ. Have 304k on my '92 F150, original 5.0 gave it up at 287k, was replaced with a junkyard 5.0 that I was told had 68k on it. Still ran great, but swapped for a 220k mile 351w about a week and 1k miles ago, also still running great. Had around 200k on my '80 F100 before that 5.0 gave up, that truck is now awaiting restoration.

My first Ford (03 Explorer xlt.)
Just bought my first 03 Ford Explorer xlt. It has 122,000. It runs great and I'm amazed at how clean it is under the hood. No wet spots and runs so smooth. Honestly I have never been a big Ford guy but I'm being swayed lol. I hope it holds up like what I'm reading in these posts. Time will tell! Looking forward to it!
Also I'm new to this forum and love it! I've seen a lot of great info on here, Very useful! Thanks to everyone for all your posts!
