185,600 on my 2001 Explorer Sport 4WD. Still original engine and trans.

 

My '07 Eddie Bauer 4.0L 2WD just hit 115,000 miles yesterday. I hit the 100k mark when it was only two years and four months old. It runs and drives just as good now as it did at 15k!

My sister bought the '04 XLT 4.0L 4WD that I had prior to my '07. It has just over 180k miles on it without a single major problem. The engine and tranny are both still in excellent condition. Doesn't use a drop of oil...

 

I have 228,000 on my 97 5.4

 

156k on the body. eng and trans is unknown they were swapped out before i bought it. im pretty sure the engine has well over 200k with 120 psi in each cylinders.

 

73k on my new to me '01 V8 awd limited.

 

i have 178565 as of today. i have only changed the belts,fluids,brakes and tires.one set of plugs and all filters on time.all i have ever had to replace was the battery. it had a hole rubbed in it.drives like it did when i bought it. all i can say is regular maint. has to be the key. sohc 4.0 4x4 no smoke no leaks no noises from anywhere but the tires.

 

1993 XLT with 218,000 on the motor. Tranny's rebuilt, rear diff is rebuilt, new radiator, electric fan, alternator, all new AC with R134a, new Alpine CD stero with amp + speakers, new ball joints and lifted suspension....and just 2 days ago I had to replace a headlight bulb. First one in 17 years. Ran through the state emmissions last week and it's running cleaner thah it was 10 years ago.

 

Sold my 97 Mountaineer 2 weeks ago with 196,900. Original motor and transmission but front differential was out and it was burning a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Glad to see it gone. Never had so many problems with an car or truck.

 

Yhea well thanks for sharing. Your post is not exactly the spirit of this thread however.

 

Just giving an honest assesment of ownership. If you can't be honest on these threads I will quit using as they would be useless. Maybe I should check with you to clear my posts before submitting.

1993 exploder sport 4.0 5 speed 122000 miles, runs like new strictly stock, typical ford shows her age. RUST! ny winters, other than that she,s been mine for 11 years and someday i,ll put her down but not yet.
