I have a 2015 F150 and it developed an issue where the wipers would remain on slow, intermittent even though the wiper switch was turned to the off position. The issue started at around 60,000KM (just after the warranty expired). At first they would turn off if I ran the switch up to the fast position and back to off. Now I can't get them to turn off at all.
Has anyone heard of a service bulletin being issued? I've read a number of forums on this problem but, no clear resolution.
I brought the truck into a local dealership and the service adviser wasn't sure of a service bulletin and was going to check. I thought I would put this out here to see if this is a common problem. Thanks.
That exact situation happened with my 2011 F150, i wound up having to replace the turn signal/wiper control arm. My truck had 45,000 miles on it at the time the switch went bad.
The wiper switch needs cleaning/replacement. See if the dealer will help you get it fixed under warranty (I know it is expired), Ford makes allowances sometimes.
Yep I'm sure quite pissed off especially when stuck working in the Bush. Tempted to burn this ****ing thing to the ground. **** design I have heard many complaints about it.
At least now they wont ****ing stop so the dealership will be forced to fix it. POS components in these trucks now of days.

Sounds like a bad switch.
Just replace it and move on because it`s a cheap part.

Calm down.
Any and all parts on any man made object can fail at any time without warning.
I have the same problem on my 2016. Looks like an easy fix. I found the switch online for ~$47, but I'm not sure if mine is with, or without, the rain sensor! There's a part number for each option. Pulling it up by the VIN didn't tell me one way or the other. Any way to tell the difference?

Heads up but the OEM part is stocked at autozone if you need it quick and its sold under their house brand but the Ford part number is covered. The only trucks with auto wipers were lariat 502a and above.
