Your quicker than Doc Holiday!!! Shaft shouldn't engage when not locked in but there may be drag. So it might but not rpm related.

Ever drive down the road behind a superduty and notice the front axle U's rolling along....that's what I'm saying.

Yes you can snap the hubs off and roll. Doubt it's the hubs but we're there so give it a shot.

You said you were on the tire assault. I would hold until that aspect is cleared up before going any further into the change drawer.

Yes, I've seen them rolling on others, on the interstate. That is why I still have mine zip tied at moment. I will try with hubs off tomorrow. Yes will be getting tires Tuesday, hoping that is the issue. Thanks for the ideas and suggestions, I really need them, cause I'm about all out.

Sleep soundly, a fresh pair of boots may be the answer. Let us know.

Highest regards!

When driving with hubs removed I would recommend covering them with something. I don't know if a baggie will stay rubber banded on there or not but do something to keep the grit out.

Just a quick update, removed hubs, did not cover Walleye, just test drove for 1/4 mile on asphalt, hope no grit got in. Anyway still had vibration, verified zip ties are still intact on the axle Us. Will update after new tires tomorrow, looking at 285 75 16s, currently have 295 75s on, still legal tread, but will cough up dough for new ones if fixes this vibration issue. Stay tuned

Problem fixed, Colorado350 was spot on. I really had my doubts that the tires could be making that much fuss. I really thought I had major bearing issue, hence the new ones, and the calipers, and shocks, etc $$ etc. I've even got new rust on my new calipers Well... I'll have to mark this one as "it all needed to be done anyway". Thank you Denny for your brain storming ideas, I will get the braided lines soon, probably why I've been seeing brake dust on wheels lately. I should have jumped on forum first before opening tool box ... maybe this thread will help other non-mechanics like myself.
