Happy September everybody. Made my way to the tippy top of New Hampshire over the weekend. Played around in the woods a bit with the truck. Unfortunately, they groom their forest roads far too well to have any real fun. Saw a couple moose, and made it to the Lancaster fair. Overall a great weekend.
I stayed at the Cabot inn just down the road from Santa's Village. Also stayed one night in the tent in Greenfield State Forest. Only went with the hotel for Sunday night because of the rain.
Greenfield State Forest, a real good place for camping in a tent. When we tented New Hampshire was the best in New England.
Now old and ridged, tents are out and 5th wheel in. I do miss the rain on the tent. Can't explain the peaceful state of mind it brought. Eggs and pancakes on a open fire and a strong cup of coffee. Tenting was good.
Anyone with a newer SuperDuty replace tires yet? I like the dimensions of my OEM LT275/65R20 but will definitely be going with some flavor of Coopers. My curiosity comes from whether or not bigger tires would look any better. In my opinion the 20" wheels already make them look bigger, but I'm curious what others have done.
Wish I could help Greg, but I'm stuck in the half ton world. Though I was very tempted to buy a 2013 with a 6.7L in it when I was at the Ford dealer the other day.
It sure is quiet Greg. My guess kids back in school and parents making the adjustment or old people like me going on vacation since the kids are back in school.
I ordered up a leveling kit for my truck last night. Went with an autospring kit for the front and rear. I went the cheaper route to see how I like the height. If it fits my needs, I will eventually upgrade. If, however, I want higher then I'll wait for a 4" lift. We'll see what happens.

On my 02 I wanted to level and raise the truck. Tom told me I'd be crazy to do it. So I didn't. My son on the other hand first did the leveling kit and found the handling to be a little off from what it was. Not terrible but off. Then he went to a 4" lift and that's when he found that the height was great but the truck really started to have problems with handling and putting money into trying to adjusting things to no avail. Ended up selling the truck.
I still think a jacked truck looks great, but not for me.
