Question

4 Cylinder

I think that I have seen this question posted before but I can't seem to find it...I have a 2000 Mazda with the 2.3 L and at times it revs without pressing the accelerator. This usually happens during shifting but has occasionally happened during normal driving it only has about 36000 miles...Any ideas on the problem.

First place to start might be here. You have a 2.5 not a 2.3.

Not much except it might make it hard to find parts and the parts guys won't give you funny looks when you tell them the correct engine size.
