Need Some Help With 4.9 L I6 !!!
FIRST THINGS FIRST IM NOT EXACTLY A MECHANIC SO KEEP IT SIMPLE PLEASE
I HAVE SEVERAL QUESTIONS, FIRST WHAT IS THE HP AND TORQUE SPECS FOR A STOCK 4.9 L
I AM SICK OF THE BORING STOCK EXHAUST WHAT WOULD SOUND BEST ON THIS 6 CYLINDER, IVE HEARD FLOWMASTER SOUNDS LIKE A GRAIN TRUCK, AND IVE HEARD GLASSPACKS SOUND LOUSY
GIBSON SIDESWEPT CATBACK EXHAUST SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD BUT I DONT HAVE CATS NEMORE WOULD THAT AFFECT ALOT ON THAT EXHAUST.
WHAT AFTERMARKET PARTS WOULD ADD THE MOST HP, I WAS THINKING HEADERS BUT NOT SURE ANY SUGGESTS WOULD HELP
WOULD 35X12.5 TIRES BE TO BIG FOR A 4.9 L TO PUSH AROUND AND NOT AFFECT MPG TO MUCH (I WAS THINKING I WOULD LOSE ALOT OF POWER)

Exhaust: Straight pipes off the manifolds 
Aftermarket performance: Not much, other than ignition and a chip (IMHO.) Don't bother with headers. From what I've read, the manifolds you have are basically headers already, so you wouldn't gain much.
I think those tires might be a mite too much, depending on your gears.

EFI 4.9 is around 150HP
Best exhaust is 2inch daul inlet 2 1/2 inch single outlet high flow cat. 2 1/2 inch single inlet with either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 dual outlet Magnafow muffler with 3inch or bigger tips. Don't waste money for the header, it doesn't fit EFI without modifing and flow is the same. Keep the stock manifolds.
Regear to 4.10's or lower for 35inch tires.
Get a chip (or Power programer if its a 96). K&N FIPK or equivalent( open filter replacing the stock air box). Electric fans for the radiator.
