VIN number

I just purchased a ford truck with a vin of f50ccl83817. Can someone help me determine what i have? Thanks, Paul

1971 F500, according to your Vehicle Identification Number number.

The link you posted wont give him any info for a 1971 or F500.

C = 330 2V Medium Duty FT engine.

C = Oakville Ontario Canada Truck Assembly Plant.

L83817 = 1971.

Please post further questions in the LARGE TRUCK forum. Most members of the 1967/72 F100 and larger truck forum have pickups.
