Thanks so much, yeah thats the exact look I like. I am not a fan of much if any tire sticking out past the truck, I am also not a big fan of adding flares. If you get around to measuring your height that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
Josh
Josh, not sure if this is exactly what you had in mind, but i measured to the top of the plastic trim piece just inside the door (see pic). The picture shows about 83.5 in the front, though when I looked at it with my eyeball more level it seemed like it was closer to 84". The top of the truck is a little higher (about 2" I think) with the sat antenna and the way it curves up a bit. The back corner of the cab (measured to same black plastic trim piece) was right around 84.5". There are probably better ways to measure, and I'm open to suggestions if you had something different in mind.
Joel what method did you use to lift the rear and are you happy with it? truck looks great
Thanks, Kubota. The BDS 4" kit includes blocks for the back-end (along with Fox 2.0 shocks). I haven't had experience with any other methods (add-a-leaf, etc) so I can't really compare it to anything. I guess the best I can say is that I'm definitely not unhappy with it =) Sorry that's not much help.
I paid $700 for installation. In total I paid $6585 for 4" BDS coil-over lift, 37" Nitto Terra Grappler G2 (x4) mounted and balanced on stock rims, installation, and alignment.
I just did this same kit recently for a customer. 4" BDS Radius arm lift. Fox shocks and Fox dual stabilizer. 37x12.50R20 Nitto Ridgegrapplers on 20" Fuel Mavericks and a 2WD air dam.
I swear it rides better than stock and I can't tell it had any affect on acceleration compared to mine with 35s. If I wasn't pulling a fifth wheel, this is exactly what I would have used on mine as well.
700$ is about right for the install. It's a full days work in a shop with a lift and probably a full weekend if you do it yourself.
Is this only able to level the rear end or does it have a little bit of rake like it does in its stock form? On looking at various pictures i cant really tell.
