Hi
I have an 02 f250 7.3 auto 350k miles, starts and idles good, drives good under 1100 rpm and over 1800 rpm
Between 1100-1800 rpm it’s shaky and seems like not enough power and smoking if I push the accelerator and transmission downshifts rpm climbs to 2k and truck takes off no problem and not smoking
i have new ICP, IPR new injectors(less than 10k miles)
new fuel filter and pump
removed fuel tank, cleaned and fixed pickup tube
new up pipes
no play in turbo wheel
6637 air filter
Any help is appreciated
thanks

Check for burnt pins or loose connection on the the VCH and UVCH.

Is there any chance it could be the TPS? To me it sounds like it could have a bad spot.

If it was well driven, I suspect what mark says above. With the mileage 350k noted, it might be tired.

Shot in the dark my friend.

This is an unlikely cause but, one time I saw an HPOP starting to fail. It would idle ok and at higher rpm's it would work ok, due to more volume when the engine sped up, but in between it would not produce enough hpop pressure to run ok, but I think there was a code.

Another possibility is an injector o-ring starting to fail, but I think idling and hot starts would be a problem if that was the case.
