Gaps in bed seams

I noticed this when I was installing my MX4 and was wondering if anyone else has these gaps in the seams around the floor of your truck bed.

And what should I do about it, should I bring this to the dealerships attention?

This is a gap between the floor and the sidewall of the bed.

I have them on mine, but I assumed it was correct per manufacturing specs.

There was to be somewhere for the water to drain, I would assume it's normal

Have them too. Assume it's to give water a place to drain out.

I've been contemplating using seqm sealer from the bottom once I have the tonneau cover on. I'm going to wait and see if I get water in the bed when driving in the rain after the cover is on.

Why? If you ever spill anything it will sit in there till it evaporates. You also may not always have the tonneau cover on. Just giving my opinion. Nothings going to crawl up into the truck thru those seems.

I run a tonneau cover on mine a lot, rain water doesn't come in that way at all. Driven through some crazy rain for long periods of time, all dry in the box under the cover. I think they are purposely there to let water drain from the front of the box because of how these trucks sit empty nose down. Only time water would go out the back is if there is weight in the back or connected to a trailer and accelerating otherwise and all that water is sitting there until it evaporates. Personally, I would not silicone them off due to this need to be able to drain. I also thought about this and thats the conclusion I have come to for what its worth.

Mine is the same way. I bought some black caulking and sealed the seams. I did leave a couple of spots in the corners for water to drain out. I also have a tri-fold tonneau cover on mine, but the open seams let in a lot of dust / dirt that happens when going off road. Since I have put caulking in the seams, I rarely get any dust in the bed of the truck now.

This is a gap between the floor and the sidewall of the bed.

I have 2 small gaps on mine, both towards the tailgate. Neither of them seem to be as pronounced as yours. I have the factory bed liner.

Is that the factory spray in liner? If you got the liner done aftermarket, would it fill in all the gaps?

I have the same gaps on the sides between the bed floor and sides. I've always seen the gaps in the front for water drainage, but never on the sides. I have the factory spray in bedliner. I can only imagine how big those gaps were before the liner material was applied. I wasn't happy when I saw those gaps. Looks like poor figment to me.

I have the same gaps with the factory spray in liner. Honestly it drains really well so i'm kind of glad they are there.

That's the build tolerance of the bed. You can't have net/net design otherwise it won't go together at different ranges of the tolerance band. Water will drain out of the tailgate close out when you drive off. I had my F150 Line-ex'd and where there was a gap I caulked with black caulk. Is it an issue, nope but it can let dirt and dust in if you live on a dirt or gravel road.
