I just purchased a non-running, 94 f150 with a straight 6 & manual trans. I traced the problem down to some "creative" wiring added under the dash and a fried PCM. I've ordered a PCM and have repaired the harness. The previous owner had left some of the wiring disconnected. I'm down to 1 plug that I can't identify. It is a 3-pin connector/pigtail lying on top of the steering column, near the back. I can't see anything that it plugs into. Is it possibly a carryover for trucks with other options? The 3 wire colors are as follows: White w/Green stripe, Red w/Yellow stripe and Tan w/White stripe. Does anyone know what this would be for or where I could get a schematic?
I think it's for C275 (see picture at link below -- credit Steve83), which is the "TCIL/TCS" or transmission control indicator lamp / transmission control switch... for automatic transmission. Since yours is a manual, it doesn't plug into anything.

Thanks. You were right on the money. Oh, I installed my used PCM, that I ordered. The truck fired right up, no check engine light and nothing burned down. Thanks so much for the information.
