Rear A/C & Heater & Other Questions
I have a 1993 E150 conversion. 5.8L, auto. 151K mi.
1)The rear a/c vents are above the rear doors and the heater is on the floor.
The blower switch is in the dash with the front blower switch. Front blower
comes on, rear doesn't. I take it the blower motor and harness is behind the
left rear panel? I want to check for power. Will the harness run along the
side, roof or underneath? What about a seperate fuse & relay? The ones
under dash & engine compartment are good. Is the panel as hard to
remove as it looks? I really could use the a/c here in the valley with
summer triple digit temps & the heat when I'm at my mountain travel
trailer in very rural n.w. az. with single digit winter temps.
2)The middle and rear aircraft style reading lights don't have power. 1
manual shows the harness tied into the same harness as the rear a/c,
another doesn't show anything. I removed 1 light but the wiring runs above
the plywood in the roof. Any suggestions before I start tearing into it?
3)Owners manual shows the jack & handle stored behind the right rear
panel. Being a conversion, it has a panel that looks time consuming to
remove. Could it have been relocated? If so, where? I am currently carrying
around the bottle jack & 4 way lug wrench from my truck.
4) The airbag warning light is flashing a code 34. (had to search for light.
Was covered up with black tape to blend in with the dash)
The previous owner knew nothing about the van since he was a flipper from the far east valley so I'm very slowly (I'm disabled) trying to repair these items. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
