Which Chip?

Guy's I have a 2000 Excursion w/ the automatic tranny. The engine has about 41,000K on it. I'm wondering which chip I should get as I'll be doing towing & daily driving w/ it? Thanks

Which Chip?

I recently purchased a Diablo 54/78 chip with remote switch. I am very pleased with the performance and shifting thus far.

In the 78 mode, the EGT's rise quickly to the 1100-1200 degree range as you kick it down.

I do recommend the pyro, boost and tranny gauges and a 4" down pipe and exhaust.

The chip is just one key component when you want more pulling power, performance, etc.

Just read all the threads that are similar to yours and they all pretty much recommend the same equipment.

Which Chip?

So long as you stay under 1250 prolonged and keep it in the higher ranges for only a few seconds you'll be okay.

Which Chip?

Like HeatStroked, I have the Diablo Delta chip, but I have the 54/100hp programs. The 54hp program is great for towing, giving noticeable power increase, while keeping the EGT's under control. The 100hp program is for every day driving, and though the EGT's rise quickly at higher boost levels, I typically don't run in that rpm range. I find the increase in mid range power to be excellent, especially with my propane on.
