Fan noise/engine being loud
So I recently towed a small trailer from Indiana to New Mexico. Of course the a/c doesn't work yet so I had the windows down and in certain parts of the trip it made sense to turn the OD off so the transmission wouldn't keep down shifting. It wasn't a bad trip. Delivered a bunch of stuff to my brother in law that has been in storage while he was deployed overseas. 95 F150 Supercab, 5.0 auto
My issue now is that I have a lot of fan noise/the engine sounds like it's always just started and cold so there's that revving/vacuum cleaner like noise. I checked the radiator fan when cold and it will move by hand in the morning with a bit of resistance. The rpm's are all the same as before, the engine doesn't appear to be over revving, shifting is fine, temp gauge seems fine but it never really moves, oil pressure normal.
What could be causing this noise? What should I be checking? Any ideas?

The second part was about a month later the water pump started leaking out the weep hole and was going bad. Ended up replacing it and the hoses as they were so caked with rust and deposits. I flushed and flushed with a hose until I got clean water and no more gunk coming out. Again, I thought it was an easy job because I didn't run in to any stuck bolts, the power steering pump and air compressor swing out of the way without removal, and I took my time flushing, cleaning and sealing everything up properly. It helped that I had another vehicle to use and a long weekend without work so I was not rushed to get the truck on the road in one day.
I did have one issue spring up....a leak in the tube that goes to the throttle body. I think the tube was all clogged up as it was never showing any sign of leaking until after I flushed all the gunk out. The new pump probably increased circulation too but anyway that tube has a pretty good bend in it and right at the bend it split open. I just used my dremel and cut off the bad section, leaving enough to put a longer hose on it. Looked like something that could be an issue in the future so I made sure to put a cap and small hose clamp in the glove box in case she ever starts to leak, I'll just cap it and be done with it. I live in Texas and Florida so it never gets cold enough to worry about ever needing it.
I did chicken out and not look at the timing chain while I was in there. Hoping that doesn't come back to bite me in the ***.
