Motor oil question
I have a 1988 f250 with a 5.0 my question is my motor oil gets really hot after it has run a little while( I know it is supposed to get somewhat hot) like when you pull the stick there is a slight smoke comming off it and it is extermely hot. the engine runs normal no knocks, water temp is normal and the oil is clean.
Is something wrong? and does anyone eles have this same thing happen?

Motor oil question
Sounds like combustion heat and gases are getting past your piston rings in the crankcase - blowby. My old 289 did the same thing, it had wicked blowby, but it never smoked from the exhaust.
