Engine swap opinion

My engine in my 64 f250 2wd is dead and I found a 1984 f150 4x4 with a 351w/c4 with under 80k. It's drivable and shift's smooth. Can I use this in my truck? I'm unsure if the transfer case complicates things.

1984 F150 351W will have a C6, not a C4.

I meant that.,too much texting back and forth. The 4x4 trans won't work with my 2wd anyways. I found a couple c4 transmissions for sale near me I just need to find a motor. I have to move fast because I only have ascess to this garage with a lift for about a month.

motor mounts will be a problem but if u have time put a cv front suspension in it and the motor mounts will be easy to get you can make the trany mount your self but 1 month will be a chore

B. S.!!! Aftermarket small block ford crossmember and side mounts..at least 3 different types are available from all the usual suspects. The Crown Vic is not the answer to everything especially a F 250.
