1938-39 COE Width

Hello people, I have found a couple 38 or 39 cabovers and wondering what with width of the front end is? Trying to find a frame/engine combo that will work for me. Any information or online diagrams would be greatly appreciated. Only have been able to find measurements for the wheelbase.

Do you mean the front tread dimension, or overall fender-to-fender width?

Probably just front tread although I wouldn't mind knowing from outside to outside of the fenders either.

This is the factory diagram of the 1946. I compared it to my similar 1941 diagram and it's no different. I'd assume it is similar to the 1938/39/40 COEs. Stu

^ Interesting- I have a '40 cab/chassis, stock frame 134 WB. I did my best to measure overall, to the nearest inch and came up with 225". No; it's not a 158" WB- hm-mmm...

EDIT :: Re-measured. Above chart is spot on- mine is 205.5".
I think my 225" number came from early on, when the truck had frame rail extensions out the rear (since cut off to the factory end).

I'll probably just end up waiting to throw a tape on them myself just to make sure. They are a couple hours away from me though...
