I'm glad you could come and enjoy SW Colorado. I feel blessed to live just outside of Durango, Colorado and believe it or not I love to see all the extra traffic visiting this georgeous part of the state. We took a family trip here when I was 12 years old and I swore I would move here someday. That someday happened 20 years ago when I was 35 young years of age.
How to you speed up the video and add music to it? What software?
I pull the video files off of the flash card on to my Mac and use iMovie to combine the clips (a bunch of the small video files), then I strip out the sounds (mostly the radio and my wife and I talking) then there is a speed function in iMovie where you enter the x factor of how fast you want it to go - this one is 7.5 x. The video is almost 30 minutes raw so I had to shrink it down so it didn't bore people to tears. Finally, I take an MP3 (get them from Amazon) and add it to the video. Takes longer to save it and upload to YouTube than it does to do the edits.
I appreciate the nice comments from everyone. Beautiful place and a fun road to drive.

We love the Colorado mountains and really liked Creede this year. I wish I could live there in the summer and Texas in the winter.
I'm not sure if this ? is for me or not but I'm ashamed to say that I've never fished "The Juan", as they call is here. During prime time, everyone say's it's elbow to elbow down there and I like to get away from the crowds and with 1.8 million acres of national Forest it can be done here, even in the summer traffic. I love to hit the high mountain creeks and when I backpack the Wimenuche Wilderness, every lake is chuck full of cuts. For big fish, I hit the Lake Fork outside of Lake City. Hunting season is quite busy here too but living here, you get to know all of the hideaways.
Great video going up to the "pass". Good choice of music but personally, I would have rather heard the engine, exhaust working. Probably so quiet there would have been silence.
