1996 Ford F-150 Eddie Bauer Extended Cab 2-door
5.0/302 V8 with 172000 miles

Engine runs strong but there are a few problems I cannot figure out.

1. Occasionally the engine starts with a check engine light.
1a. When this happens, tranny will not switch gears past second.
1b. The O/D switch light is off and will not respond to interaction.
1c. Drive it around the neighborhood for about 3-5 minutes and truck runs fine. Everything goes back to working normally.
1d. This problem does not store a check engine light.
1e. Smell of fuel that only lasts a moment.

2. Driving down the road at a steady pace, there tends to be a hesistation. Engine does a very slight rev up and down. This also causes a hesitation. This only happens when trying to stay at speeds between 15-45 mph.

3. Another driving issue, when roaring down the road 45+mph, the truck has an intermittent vibration from the rear end. This is a very weird thing, but when it happens, it causes a hesitation.

What I've done.
1. Changed plugs and wires.
2. Changed fuel pump level float sensor.
3. Changed driver side fuel injectors. Will be changing passenger side injectors in the next few days.
4. Did a complete oil change.
5. The entire front end steering bushings are going to be replaced in the next week.
6. Fixed rear differential gasket and added new fluid.
7. Added a fuel additive to clean the old injectors.
8. Changed the air filter.
