Tire sizes and offset

So I'm getting new tires and rims for my truck. It's a 2000 f250. Does anyone know if I'll be able to run an 18x9 with a -12 offset and not rub. The tire size I want to run are 275 70 r18. The local tire shops say it is iffy. They say a +1 wouldn't but I just wanted to know if a -12 wouldn't rub.

stock suspension or lifted?
that wheel is 2" wider than your stock wheel so the offset needs to kick the wheel out some in order to fit. I'm not entirely sure if you'll rub or not because I'm by no means an expert....but even if you do, it probably won't be that much, a little trimming never hurt anybody.

I think you'll be alright, if you do rub it'll be at full lock....a little trimming and you'll be fine
