Custom chassis question

im just beginning my re build of my 55 merc M100, was considering a custom chassis as I want to go with IFS, and a 4 link. Any suggestions would be appreciated as this is fairly new ground for me, thanks

A couple of questions: How much fabrication are you comfortable doing? And what's your budget? If you want to buy a 'bolt together' chassis you will be looking at some serious $$. The more you do yourself the more potential there is for keeping the dollar outlay to a minimum.

TCI, Art Morrison, Fatman, The Roadster Shop, and the list goes on. Do some homework on the internet, just search on F100 chassis and you will have a number to choose from. You can spend from $6K to $30K USD or even more depending on how custom you wish to make the chassis. Good luck...

I added a TCI Custom IFS and TCI four link rear. It turned out nice but with all the time I spent taking out frame dents, rivets, cross members, and then truing, squaring, leveling, boxing my existing frame, I spent tons of time on it. I think i would seriously look at buying a complete chassis if I did it again.

I got mine through JW rodshop out of WI. all the mounting points were on point. All I had to do was cut the front bumper mounts off old frame and weld on to new frame so I can use the original bumper. Cab, bed and running boards all lined right up.
