Unhappy wait to start
I have a 95 ranger 4.0 engine auto, it will not start unless the key is turned then have to wait a few minutes for fuel pump to start then shut off. Computer, fuel pump, key switch, have been changed with no help. Is there a check valve in the system maybe in injectors?

Welcome to FTE!!

Have you determined that the pump is not running when you first turn the key on? There are relays that control the power to the pump.

wait to start
After not running for an hour or so after turning the key the fuel pump will not start for sometimes 4 minutes or less till the pump starts.

I would try replacing the fuel pump relay.
