Please belay my last post.
I guess I got excited after all that work and thinking it was wrong, I found a site that showed the assemblies from 42'47' they were the same.
somehow this thing was bent down at the point perfectly in the center so well that it looked like a die line, apparently it's not so I'll have to reform it. guess i'm not going nuts after all.
