so I got a 2006 f150 with a 4.6 it is 2wd. It's a great truck and is fun it just needs some more power but here is the problem. It has 175000 miles on it and it's a lot is it worth me superchargering it. Or just go for it and run low boost.
Are you just looking for faster acceleration? Have you tried a tuner? I don't know what all is available, but I would definitely be looking at one of those before dumping the significant amount of money, time, and effort into a supercharger setup.
What is your rear axle ratio? If you're not sure, look at the axle code on the sticker in the driver's door jamb, you can google it or post it here. My old 97 V6 truck had 3.08 gears and I swapped them out for 3.73 and it made a significant difference but I was running 33" M/Ts which was about all the 4.2L really wanted.
