Smoke stuff on a 460..keep?

I'm replacing the 460 for a rebuilt one in my '93 truck and wondering if I should keep all the smog stuff and tubing. I have a aftermarket muffler, so the tubes to it are long gone. I will keep the egr though.

You should keep it if you have a catalytic converter.

I would keep the evaporative emissions parts too.

Get rid of it all, once the pump is gone and the vacuum reservoirs you can actually see the spark plugs on the rt side. With the egr valve, simple make a aluminum block off plate, gasket it and install. The egr position sensor will still move, so no codes will be set. You do need the evap charcoal canister for your fuel tanks

It depends on if there is emissions testing in your area and if you can deal with the guilt of causing more than your share of pollution.

If you want to waste a large percentage fuel to evaporation and you enjoy inhaling gas fumes, by all means delete the CANP.

It's one of the most effective, least complicated, minor pain-in-the-*** devices in the emissions system.

The stock muffler and cat have long since been replaced with a flowmaster rv muffler as I was tired of all the interior heat from the stock exhaust. The flowmaster pretty much eliminated all the heat especially since the truck does alot of towing.
i wasn't sure if I should remove the egr or not.
