I ordered on 8-15 it said a job#2 truck. Is this issue on earlier builds or all of them? I guess Ford can pay a driveline shop to fix mine if they cant. Fingers crossed
Just wondering if you guys with the issue could clarify a little about the vibration. My truck is going in for a few warranty issues this week and I also have a highway vibration that is worse when towing. When into the pedal up a long grade towing my RV, I get an out of round vibration. It cycles evenly every couple seconds. Two seconds of smooth as glass, two seconds of a slight whole truck vibration. Anyone else with something similar? I'm fairly certain the dealer will say they can't replicate the issue but I will mention the TSB if it relates. No one has a link to the TSB by the way?
I thought I had posted yesterday in one of the threads that my F-350 was smooth. I jinxed myself. I have pretty much the same symptoms that you do Rodney. I was towing light today. It was just my side-by-side. I started feeling that vibration, then it would go away, then it would come back. I was on fairly new asphalt so I'm pretty sure it wasn't the road. I'm seeing some vibration in the steering wheel but it may be possible to see the vibration anywhere in the truck. I'm familiar with the feel of warped rotors and this isn't it.
I'm going to be towing heavy this wednesday. If the problem is worse with the heavier trailer then I'm definitely going to be showing this to the dealer. A vibration like I'm feeling can't be good for the suspension, specifically the shocks.
Let me know what you find Jim. My truck goes to the dealer tomorrow. I'm certain they won't be able to replicate the issue and will brush me off.
Mine does exactly what you were talking about. Typical sine wave type vibration. Not sure why it does it. Definitely feels like a driveshaft vibe to me. Interested to hear what they have to say. Mine is most pronounced at around 75. And pavement really has to be smooth to feel it. If it's rough, can't tell if it's happening or not.
I'm going to hold off installing my new shocks until I get the vibration resolved. The new shocks may mask the vibration enough that the dealer's technician may blow me off.
The other reason to hold off on the shock install (besides the fact that the Florida vendor sent me the wrong one and they are shut down this week) is that I don't want to put undue wear on the shocks. I'm wondering if the vibration is why there is oil leaking out of the OEM shock (besides the fact that the OEM shocks suck).
