I just found a 7.3 idi (non-turbo) on CL for $1500, and seller says he's done a lot of preventative maintenance on it recently. He called it a double cab, so I'm not sure if he meant crew or extended (no pics), and it's manual trans. I'm on my way to go check it out now, I've never driven one of these old boys but would be nice to have something just to putt around town in. Anything in particular I should look for?

 

Just putting around town depending on the trips a diesel may not be the best. They like to work.

As a naturally aspirated IDI be aware that this truck will drive like a dog compared to your PS. You can't beat $1500 though!
