You mean IGN SW cylinder or the switch itself?

Run a jumper wire from the B on the solenoid to the + on the coil and see if it runs.

If your truck has the round terminals pins changes our it's the ign. key switch/plug

The switch with the round pins over heated an would loose contact an not start.
The real problem was the plug so the plug & switch need to be changed out to a flat blade type switch as noted below.

Hope this helps

None of this info affects the OP's truck, since it's a 1967.
OP has a 1967 that uses a one year only ignition switch: C7UZ-11572-A / Motorcraft SW-583

The POS switch that would short out and catch fire (C8AZ-112572-A) was used on all 1968/69 FoMoCo vehicles (except Bronco), 1970 F100/750 & Econoline before serial number G90,001.

This POS switch was replaced in 1971 with D1AZ-11572-C / Motorcraft SW-1054
