Hey guys I have a major issue. I recently bought a 670 cfm street avenger Holley carb. Now I took the carb all the way apart, cleaned every port and blew the whole thing out. I know its clean. I install the carb and the engine comes alive, its very stout and snappy but it will not idle. I have a 750 cfm 4160 I am running. its too much for my application but it idles. I cant for the life of me figure whats going on with the street avenger.. Any suggestions would be perfect!!!! Thanks

If The 750 was a double pumper only then would it be "too much" carb when you nailed the gas pedal at a dead stop. When you bolted the carb on, did you reset the initial timing first, before tuning the carb ? What is the timing set at ? This has everything to do with the idle settings. What ignition are you running on this motor ?
