1979 Ford Fuel Controls

Why do some trucks say aux and main and some trucks say front and rear? I am trying to sell my all original truck and mine says front and rear and I am being told that the face plate was replaced and it shoud say aux and main. Can someone clarify this for me.

I do believe it all depends on the year. My 78 F250 says Aux and Main also, and Aux setting is the REAR tank.....

Every original true 79 I have seen said front/rear. 78 and older ones are aux/main. There is always the chance it has been swapped out in the last 40 years.
