Pick out new Ball Joints

Hey there fellow Ford Heads

I think it's about time I replace my ball joints... So I jumped over to the Moog Website to see about ordering them up and getting them here for a weekend project, but of course ran into a small hiccup....

The website gives me 2 options for upper ball joints, one for Dana 50 and one for Dana 60.

I tried doing some googling, but keep coming up with conflicting answers. Some sites even say that NO EXCURSION ever got a dana 60 front end.

Mine is a 2002 with the 7.3l if that helps.

Can you guys help give me a little direction?

Excursion's and 99-00 F250/F350 all had Dana 50's up front.

I would skip the Moog and go with some Spicer joints and seals. Verify kit linked below will fit prior to ordering.

Thanks for clarifying that! That's what my gut instinct was, but wanted to make sure before I ordered the wrong parts.

Thanks for the recommendation, may I ask why Spicer over Moog?

Thanks again!

Moog quality is not what it used to be. I had a shop replace mine with Moog and 9 months later I replaced them again . Still used Moog but did it myself this time around. If I had to do them again anytime soon I'd consider going with a different brand.

Dana 50-60 uses the same balljoint on the F250 @ excursion

Give these guys a call for genuine Spice parts and great service
( yes there are counterfeit spicer parts coming out of china )
