2005 SRW Broken Rear Leaf packs
2005 F-350 SRW 6.0PS Auto CCSB Camper Package. We tow heavy weekly.
Both main leaf packs broken right at the block. Go
Quote from the Stealership was $2400 to replace both packs P/L at $950 a spring pack. I complained and got them down to $1950 (dropped the leaves to $650). They did not give me a line item by line item quote. OK so I'm researching springs for this bad boy for cheaper..
I believe the truck is a code C rear end - SRW 11,400GVWR CAMPER PACKAGE.. I have the overloads and use them regularily so need them.
Here are the codes for 2005:
2 - Without Auxiliary Spring
Order By Spring Code.
6C3Z5560F $580.43
2 - With Auxiliary Spring
Order By Spring Code.
6C3Z5560C $623.45
2 - Dual Rear Wheel
Order By Spring Code.
6C3Z5560D $601.5
Has anyone found aftermarket leaf packs that come with the aux spring?
I really like the way the ride isn't terrible, but I can still haul nearly 4k lbs in the bed of this bad boy..which I do weekly. I did some reasearch and it looks like its just the same normal F-350 springs (3133lbs each) but...the overload is the key...
Looks like fordparts.com has them for $450
https://www.bluespringsfordparts.com...&siteid=214944
Parts.com has them for $430 but I dont know if they are actually OEM or not.
https://www.parts.com/index.cfm?fuse...ng-LEAF-SPRING
Here is some aftermarket stuff - but the spring rate is either lower, or way higher...
2005-2007 Ford F250SD, F350SD 2wd 4wd (Single or Dual Rear Wheels) - Leaf Spring (Rear - 4/1 Leaves) [43-1571] | $224.95 | SD Truck Springs | Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts
F250 Heavy Duty Leaf Spring F250, F350 Ford - 7 Leafs, 4400lbs. | $167.95
Can i move the ford aux leaf over os what else needs to be replaced? Can I replace the packs and thats it - or do I need to also do Ubolts etc?
Thanks for the help fellas - I'm trying to to this the right way...but...cheaper...lol

Thanks all for the notes:
I'm doing additional research, and it appears that the the spring rate for the F-350 is roughly 3133lbs per this: (page 27)
https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...essd-exlbb.pdf
This roughly matches the ATS and SDtrucksprings.com packs (3000lbs)....
Ford F250 SuperDuty 2wd,4wd Truck Leaf Spring, Ford F350 SuperDuty 2wd,4wd Truck Leaf Spring, Rear
2005-2007 Ford F250SD, F350SD 2wd 4wd (Single or Dual Rear Wheels) - Leaf Spring (Rear - 4/1 Leaves) [43-1571] | $224.95 | SD Truck Springs | Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts
So the question is...can I just replace the main pack and keep using my auxiliary? If so, I'm basically where i want to be, though running 3000lbs springs instead of the 3133lbs springs... I'm a little concerned about losing those 266lbs. We run real close to RAWR...

Thanks for all the help guys - I'm halfway across the country from my garage and tools, and with no mailing address - so online order wasn't going to cut it.
I talked to a different Ford dealer in the area and they recommended a local spring shop. Woodwards Springs in Brockton, Massachusetts. They were excellent. It was a working man's shop (8 bays and mostly Semi's) so not a place I'd take the lady LOL. BUT this place was top notch. They had me in next day in the am and had it done in 2 hours (charged me 3hrs labor but oh well). They advised against going with dually springs due to ride, and replaced my leafs with 43-1261 springs at $168 each, plus all new hardware. They simply re-used the Ford factory auxilary or overload springs I was so concerned about. So it looks like the camper package is the standard springs PLUS that auxiliary bolted to the top, which is reusable.
$760 out the door with the leafs, bolt kits and labor. The 43-1261 leafs are rated for 3000lbs, it seems, regardless of brand.
Hooked up the trailer yesterday and looked like it always does - and rode just fine.
