Hi Steve.......
NO.....Yellowstone is not the choice.
A place between Yellowstone and the Tetons has been suggested.......
CO is on the list.....
Flaming Gorge UT has been mentioned......
I know the KOA that you speak of..... I have used a campground just east of there a couple of times.....
I do not see a big rush, therefore I am looking around .......
I plan to come up with a couple-three choices and get a vote.

Roy, that's great. We should have our new rig by mid-spring and we plan on USING it next year. We'll keep an eye out for likely spots as well. That spot between Teton and Yellowstone was my suggestion. I think we may try to get up that way next summer again, so we'll check it out.
I know we are going to Glacier next summer and a bunch of "local" spots.......

I'm flexible on dates. Any location that would accomodate a group and still be close enough to do the tourist thing would be good. It might be good to get to Yellowstone before it blows to kingdom come.

Roy and Gang:
I know I've been MIA for quite a long time now, close to a year. I've been checking in on all the threads, but just have been so focused on work, mostly outside the US, that I've not taken the time to post anything.
I got a reminder this week of a new posting on this thread and it got my attention, so I thought I would jump in. As I see the discussion about Yellowstone and Teton, I thought I'd just repost my suggestion of Headwaters Campground at Flagg Ranch. It's just outside the north entrance to Teton NP on the John D.Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway that runs between Teton and Yellowstone. It's operated by a concessionaire for the Park Service as it is on Park Service land. We stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it because we could go to either park very easily with that as a base. It's big-rig friendly with full hookups. No wi-fi when we were there, but that suited us just fine as we were on vacation. Here is the link to their site: https://www.gtlc.com/camping/headwat...at-flagg-ranch
Believe it or not, we are still patiently waiting for our new DRV Houston. We ordered it Jan 23 and it was finally finished at the factory in Howe, Indiana two weeks ago. Over seven months in the waiting,,,,,really painful. Sally flew out to the factory to inspect it when it came back from paint (I was working) and it is being picked up by our dealer this weekend. They will be doing some final modifications for us over the next couple of weeks, including: installing a 6.5 KW Onan commercial generator, Cheapheat, upgraded faucets, Solar panels (1,500 watts), and some other stuff. We're hoping for a shakedown cruise in mid-September. Unfortunately, that pretty much rules out going north to Roy country for this year, but lookout 2019. I'll post pics in a couple of weeks when we pick 'er up.
It's good to be back and I'm looking forward to becoming a part of the group again.
