Parking garages
Just ordered my F350 Platinum FX4 6.7/HD Suspension, so will be a bit. Coming from 16 F150 Platinum.
It just occured to me as I have a flight this week, to check the airport short term garage height. Looks like it's 6'8"....I'm not going to clear once the new truck comes in, am I? (Ford's specs are confusing to me - I see 78.2" and 81.3"??) ...I guess even at the lower number thats way too close (sans any sprinkler heads, etc)...guess I'll be parking out in the cheap seats! Any thoughts are welcome

I avoid the parking garages Myself. I park in the outdoor parking and try to find a partially covered area. If the garage is over 7ft you should be fine as i have gone into those cautiously, the same with car washes. Its just a pain to use the garages with such a big truck. and if someone parks close to you its a mother getting out.

Generally, with my 03 F350, I stay out of garages, unless the height is 7'+. The ones I have gone into that are 7' hit the initial warning pipe, but I was assured by the maintenance people that it was going to be OK.
I even measured my own truck, and stopped at several places before I went under. You never know when a sprinkler head, a light fixture or a drain pipe may have a lower point.
I think if you hit the ceiling, it's your fault, not theirs.

I have a stock F350 ccsb with the hd springs. I stay out of parking garages unless they are noted as being at least 7'10" so that it gives me a full foot of clearance. I like that amount due to inclines cutting into clearance heights, the possibility of hitting any hanging fixtures and most importantly because I just don't trust that it was all measured properly.

on our trucks all you might need is a sticker in the corner of the windshield, someplace not to obvious.

Just as concerned about my 2 extra tires as the height. I just stay out of garages unless they have a minimum of 8 feet vertical clearance and look like they handle truck traffic because I need the apron/pivot space that most cars don't. Ironically, the one garage I have no trouble with is the IKEA near my mom's home - first level is 13 feet - thankfully don't go there very often.
