I give up ???
OK Did a search of 300 exhaust gaskets and found nothing. What do you all recommend? I know it says in some shop manuals not to use one. I bought a new Ford intake and exhaust manifold last Jan and installed it with FelPro gaskets. 6000 miles later the intake gasket has a leak. It looks like it is coming from the exhaust part of the gasket (if that makes sense) at the 1 cylinder. So here I go again taking the manifold off. I even went back after the first week of install and re torque the bolts in sequence. The only reason i know i have a problem is that the truck has a lean miss at idle

When Ford replaced my OEM exhaust manifold under warranty they used gaskets for both the intake and exhaust. I always did have an exhaust leak on #1 tho because the stud kept working loose. I finally used a double nut and locked the stud with a large "star" type washer that had fingers that could be bent up to keep the assy from turning. I made the washer from a fender washer with a hacksaw. I looked around in parts stores and hardware stores for pre made units but couldn't find any.
