Finally got up.
I signed up for this forum last year, when I was considering buying this old field-stuck '87 F250 with a wasp problem. Never did buy that thing, mostly due to the wasps being slightly more...aggressive than I wanted to deal with. Also, there were holes in the frame.
But today? Today was a day. I woke up looking at a Honda, and I wound up coming home with an '86 Bronco II. It's sitting in my driveway right now, taunting me like a 600 dollar paperweight. Previous owner thought it would be a good idea to hotwire the two fuel pumps in it to battery voltage through a pair of switches, and use solid 12 ga romex wire to do it. It's...a mess. It's got a leak that I fear might be a rear main seal. There's a hole cut in the floor to access the fuel pump. There are wires hanging loose under the dash.
But I fell in love, guys. I saw it, and I was five years old again, and riding down a Tennessee road with my uncle Joe in his BII for a minute. My girlfriend even said "When you get that look in your eye, I know you're gonna make a stupid decision, so just buy the truck, but you better have it running in a month."
But...anyway, Hi! I'm hoping to God, Vishnu, Allah, Pele, Yahweh, or the damn Morrigan that you guys are still as helpful as you were back when I was about to buy the F-truck, because I'm gonna need that soon.
...who wires up a truck with romex? Seriously...
