1977 No fire 460

This 460 is in a 77 grand marquis but I assume same principals apply. I want to swap it into my f100 but I wanna hear it run first. Is there a way to test those ignition modules? There's a 4 wire plug and a 2 wire plug.
The 2 wire, one has key on power and the other has key start position power.
The 4 wire comes into its own harness and the 4 wires go to the distributor and coil. With the key on the 2 coil wires (in the plastic clip) as well as 3 distributor wires have power.
Does that mean it's working or no? Changed the coil with a known working unit but it doesn't seem like the distributor is able to "distribute" any form of power for spark.
