DPF Observations....

Just got back from a 700+ mile trip of which I ended up in the "Inner City". My DPF was at 100% full when I finally ended up at my destination. Ugggggg!!! I parked the truck for about three days wondering "IF" it would clog over and in need of a Dealer Rescue. Being that I was about 25 miles from any roadway that I could get up to at least 15-25 Mph it was of concern. Anyway, It just didn't make sense to make a truck that would live in an Inner City environment without a Regen? That was my thought over the issue. Soooooooo, I went about my day but, kept my eye on the screen. Never did the truck get up to or over 20MPH, nor did the engine come up to full temperature and a regen started. Kool! The DPF screen got down to 20% before it started to go back up and by that time, I was headed towards the interstate. So, the moral of the story is.... a Regen will happen at low speeds and not at full operational temp. My experience.
