Consider yourself lucky - all my dog crisis crises seem to happen on a Saturday night at 11:00, usually when Monday is a holiday - so it's ER vet at 4x the normal price.

Hope your pup heals up okay. Amazing how fast they (usually) get over it compared to humans.

 

Yea, this was saturday at 11AM at least. He's surprisingly accustomed to the Cone of Shame by now, and the paw at least seems to be getting better.

My toy listed in my sig. I found the problem with the shifting. When I put the vacuum modulator in, I did not get the modulator to TV rod seated correctly. Got that fixed and took it out for a ride. I have just spent hours trying to get this video uploaded. Seems both FB and YouTube have removed their native ability to view 360 degree videos.

1. The camera is backward, so pan around to the front to see where I am going, or enjoy where I have been.
2. Camera microphone freaked out from 0:23 to 0:36, sorry.

It has its advantages and disadvantages. The gear drive replaces the timing chain, so there is no chain stretch, less wear from all the chain's moving parts, and very precise cam timing. The downside is that it is noisy, and people ask what that noise is :-) In my case it's more of a novelty item, as from the outside this 414 ci looks like a completely stock 1969 351w. It's not been dyno'ed but estimates have it putting out about 425 - 450 HP.

 

And I thought it was just my finely tuned ear! Part of squeezing out a few more ponies here and there.

Not super far off topic, but everyone, and I mean EVERYONE is out of the F-650 lower dash (manual trans version) new stock. Tried several Ford dealers (such as Tasca) and no one had it available for order. Finally was able to order from White Bear Lake Ford only to get an email from them saying it's on backorder with no ETA. I KNEW I should have bought one 6 months ago when I decided to do the lower dash mod.

The part number I tried to order was: 4C4Z-7004302-HA

I'm sure the aftermarket folks still have them for $300, but I wanted to pay $31.20

Rant over. Ugh. Off to the salvage yards.

 

The dealer got back to me. He says its a tooling issue and they will be back to production once they get it fixed. Woo!!
