Locking tailgate handle

Last week I had to replace my tailgate handle while in the middle of moving. It was nice that it was easy, but it was a major hassle in the middle of a move! In light of having to do this, I was wondering if there are locking handles available, and if so what might you recommend?

I tried to get for my 94 no luck. Look at lmc but probably not.

When I got my Ranger it had one of these: Ranger installed on the tailgate. They worked alright when new, but by the time I got it it failed to work anymore and just got rid of it when I replaced the rusted tailgate.

Check with a company called Pop-Lock. Not sure if they offer one for a Ranger but it's worth looking into. What year is your truck? Ford has offered them on the '150 since '97. I wonder if you could pull one from a late model '150 and adapt it to fit your Ranger?
