I'd appreciate any tips you guys can give regarding storing a truck for the winter. I did a lot of work on my 92 f150 4x4 and am thinking about storing it for the Minnesota winter. Thanks
Well winter's not that long, so I would suggest putting it away with very little fuel, and pulling the battery and take it some place warm. Inside your home...
Then when you get ready to drive it again, pull the coil wire off, after you have hooked the battery back up, and let it crank a few times to get the oil primed and check all the fluids. Let the motor run for awhile, and it should be okay...
Just a little addition to the last post, I used to work at a dealer and we would fill up the tanks and add the fuel additive "STA-BIL" to the fuel. If you don't it can begin to get surface rust, you know where that goes. Also if you have larger tires especially you may want to set it on blocks under the axles to keep flat spots from settin in on the tires. Hope this helps some.
