Default Backup Camera View

Is there a way to reset the default backup camera view?

When backing up to hook up to my fifth wheel, every time I put it into reverse I must wait and select the in-bed camera as it defaults to the tailgate one. This gets old if I don't get it aligned exactly right the first time.

When hooked up to the trailer, every time I put it in reverse I must wait and then select the Aux camera as it again defaults to the tailgate camera. When backing into a tight spot requiring several maneuvers this process is aggravating.

Ideally, I'd like the backup camera view to stay the same as the last one used. It shouldn't default to a camera I cannot and do not intend to use.

Does anyone know a way to set and keep the backup camera view? Maybe FORScan?

Two things I have done to improve this irritation:

1. Turn on the camera delay. It's in the settings on the big screen itself, not on the dash.

2. Don't put the truck in Park or take it out of gear unless you have to. Set the parking brake when you get out to look at the alignment - unless you are on a hill when stopped of course.

Please describe what you mean by changing screen camera delay “on big screen itself.” The only Settings/screen setting that I have is auto day/night or not.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry - I just saw this question. My truck has Sync 3 so there's that. 1st step is to press the Settings icon on the home screen. This will pop up:

Scroll the screen to the left to get the next page of settings:

Pick the Vehicle icon. This next page will appear:

Pick Camera Settings and this page will appear:

Rear camera delay is what you want to enable.
