Took the truck out for a spin, this AOD trimmed off nearly 1100 rpm at 100 KPH

 

Sounds like the transmission swap was worth it.

 

I think it was Neil, cost me more than swapping the rear end gears but brought the RPM's down double..

 

Which will save gas, wear and tear on the drive train. Win-win situation.

Have you decided what you're going to do with your rims yet..?

 

I plan on stripping them and painting. I am going to see if I can find a paint that matches the current painted accents on them. I am thinking about doing some test sprays to see if I like the color before stripping them. I am leaning towards going with an argent/graphite grey. Figure $8 a rattle can is not bad to do some testing. My co-worker checked with a buddy of his that use to do powder coating and was told that most places are getting $2-300 per set. Figure that I could do a lot of paint work for the cost of coating them.
