Long block value?

There is a long block for sale locally for 600.00. no pump or injectors. says Company replaces engine with over 250k on them, but ran fine. As the world turns with my truck it seems I'm replacing everything on it. While my truck runs good it does have a lot of blowby. The oil cap blows right off. I was thinking of rebuilding a engine (not myself) and replacing it when needed. So is 600 a good deal?

That is basically what I sold mine for. I think it is a fair price for a block that will probably need to be rebuilt but still runs.
