What would cause the w/shield washer fluid no to come out of the nozzle? I checked what would be obvious to me, the lines look good, the nozzles don't seem to be clogged...there IS fluid in the resevior...
I noticed that there is an electrical connection in the front bottom of teh resevoir. Is there an internal pump that could be bad? If so, is there a way to test it easily? If not, what do I check next?
Yes the pump is built into the front of the tank. Have someone hit the sprayer button while you hold a test light to the wires leading to the pump. If its getting power and still not spraying than the pump is bad. I have owned 3 ford with this design and have replaced the pumps in all three. You may have to unbolt the tank to get to the plug to test it. The pump is replaceable. pretty cheep too. To drain the tank just pop the line comming from the tank and try and catch it somehow.
I'll try that this evening when the better half gets home from work.. I'll also try and source out a replacement tank/pump assm'y online this afternoon.
Turns out that as tsheriff stated, the pump seems to be bad. There is power to the connector when the button is pressed but no spray. I'll pick up a pump at Autozone and replace it this afternoon when I go home for lunch.
Thanks for the help tsherrif. Will let you know if I get it back up and spraying today..
