Would anybody be interested in telling me their travel time/miles to this show? I'm just curious.

 

500 miles 10-12 hour drive with enclosed trailer, but the guy selling next to us was from Bakersfield Ca. I think it took him 3 days to get there

Bay St. Louis, Biloxi, D’Iberville, Gulfport, Pass Christian and Ocean Springs and added this year Moss Point and Gautier over 8000 cars.

I have to agree, actual driving and a wider variety of vehicles sounds like a winner! Although 8000 entrants is kinda scary. Will your truck be on the road there?

 

I wish, Ross... but probably not... at the painters now and probably will be till August... then there is wiring, windows, a/c, plumbing... upholstery... still lots to do...

10:36 Monday morning . Charlie Cobble had better be in a meeting with the Pigeon Forge Camber of Commerce or who ever is handling this date change getting this "S " straightened out . . I will be on the phone w/ him later this after noon and report back . I can be very persistent .

 

Just off the phone w/ Charlie again . Said 3 of the 4 people have approved of the new date ( I assume a week later ) and was waiting on a call from the undecided party to approve or deny the new dates . So different people are involved this time ? One would think it would have been a slam dunk . I am still confused .

 

Thanks for staying dogged on this event. Sure hope this doesn't kill the show. I'd hate to see another show go down in flames.

 

Charlie had better finalize the plans or he is going to save me a 27 hr. round trip & $$ in gas . Thoughts are leading to the "Great 2017 Parts Safari " usually held the first 12 days in Oct. It is a ton of quality man time w/ blood brothers , slinging lead down range , good food (back strap & brats ) , sipping cold frosties & seeing old friends . Time is running out .

 

I'm out. I was really hoping to be able to make it to a "national" this year. Guess that's not going to happen. I will cancel my reservations today.
It looks like Carlisle and Hershey again.

 

Just off the phone w/ Charlie AGAIN !! . Said he had hoped to hear from the officials on the new dates yesterday . The 4 of July SURE . Stated the undecided 1 person of 4 has not yet gave the OK . What the hell . What does one weekend later matter ? Am getting close to the point of go or not go .
