6.0 Theft system

6.0 Theft system

My 6.0 will not start with the key and I found it was the solenoid. Used the wire going to starter and connected to the positive connection. Then, it started and stopped by itself 10 minutes later. I was thinking it was theft system i have heard that is on the 6.0s. Maybe the fuel shutoff buttom is broken? Wont go down or up seems stuck. Someone please help its appreciated.

6.0L PSD trucks do not have the PATS system. They didn't put those on SD trucks until MY 2008, IIRC, which was the start of the 6.4L PSD engine run.

Ok thanks for letting me know. I heard that but apparently it was wrong.

The F150s did get PATS earlier, so people assume the SD did also.

The key was in the whole time. Started up and ran a bit rough but that's most likely because it hasn't ran in a year. Then it shut off itself with key still on. Just like a sudden stop and silence.
